Why Attend the 34^th National Nutrient Databank Conference

The NNDC has been held annually since 1976 to provide a venue for the presentation and exchange of information about food composition databases and to promote the responsible use of food composition data to further human health and wellbeing. This conference provides a great opportunity for dietitians, researchers, educators, students and practitioners to ask questions of people creating and maintaining nutrient databases. It is also an opportunity for those who create our food and nutrient composition tools to learn about critical data needs from the users themselves. Continuing education credits are available and optional exhibits and tours compliment this educational opportunity. We invite you to join us and learn about new frontiers in food composition data and analysis.

The 2010 Conference Program

This year’s conference theme, “Prairie to Plate: Exploring Food and Nutrient Database Frontiers” will be held in Grand Forks, North Dakota July 12-14, 2010. The theme and location provide an exciting opportunity to highlight cutting edge research on methods to acquire, evaluate, compile and disseminate composition data on foods available in the United States and to specifically highlight research conducted in rural America.
